HELP US MAKE HISTORY!!

Batesville Main Street is searching for past students of the Ward School. Did you attend school there or know anyone such as family and friends that did. We want to hear from you.

Help us learn the history and tell the story!!

PLEASE TAKE OUR SURVEY AND TELL US YOUR STORY!!

Batesville Main Street is embarking on an exciting journey to restore and revitalize the historic Ward School, also known as the East Side Grade School. Over the years, much of the history connected to this beloved building has been lost — and we’re determined to bring it back to life!

As part of this effort, we’re gathering the names of students who once walked the halls of the Ward School. If you, or a family member, attended the school, we’d love for you to share your information by completing the form below.

We’re also collecting photos, stories, and cherished memories to help tell the full story of the Ward School. If you have anything you’d like to share, we’d be honored to include it in this project!

Let’s work together to preserve our past and celebrate the legacy of the Ward School for generations to come.

Any questions, please call Carolyn Dieckmann, Batesville Historical Center at (812) 212-9382
